May 31, 2012: Call For Young Artists

Maybe you’re a parent who’s reading this blog hoping to find a paragraph offering a free art class to your pre-teen child. And what do you know? Here it is!

I’ve got four more slots to fill in the upcoming Gianna: Art for Kids session, which I wrote about here a few months ago. Gianna is a free children’s art class for kids between the ages of 5 and 12 that I teach one Saturday per month for six months. We play around with different media like painting, sketching, and sculpture, and learn about art forms like abstracts, self-portraiture, and public art. It’s fun and educational and it’s a memorial to my late cousin, Gianna Capecci.

All materials and classes are absolutely free, and the next session begins in late July. Shoot me a note at http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Gianna-Art-for-Kids/221615204521327 to get your child enrolled. Hurry!
